Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic midrange strategy built around Obeka, Splitter of Seconds, whose combat damage trigger grants extra upkeep steps. The list maximizes this mechanic by running a high density of upkeep-triggered permanents, including Monarch Courts, Suspend spells, and alternate win conditions like Darksteel Reactor and Mechanized Production. Mana rocks and cheap evasion enablers such as Brotherhood Regalia and Aqueous Form ensure Obeka attacks safely on Turn 5. Once Obeka connects, engines like Court of Ambition and Bonehoard Dracosaur trigger repeatedly in the postcombat main phase, overwhelming opponents with severe attrition and resource surplus. A tight counterspell suite shields the commander from interaction while the deck accelerates its clock to close the game across two subsequent combat phases.
