Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Blink Control deck commanded by Aminatou, the Fateshifter. It combines planeswalker loyalty abilities, enters-the-battlefield triggers, and a robust reanimation package to outvalue and control the table. In the early turns, the deck fixes its mana, deploys defensive utility creatures like Baleful Strix, and sets up its graveyard. By Turn 4, Aminatou hits the battlefield to blink impending threats like Overlord of the Mistmoors or Overlord of the Floodpits, instantly transforming them into full creature bodies while dodging their impending counters. In the mid-to-late game, the deck establishes dominant control through asymmetric locks like Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines and repeatable attrition from Archon of Cruelty or Riptide Gearhulk. A deep suite of efficient removal, sweepers like Toxic Deluge and Cyclonic Rift, and layered recursion ensure long-term resilience, ultimately closing games with massive swarms of flying tokens generated by Abhorrent Overlord and Elspeth, Storm Slayer.
