Deck overview

This deck is a Selesnya +1/+1 counters combat deck led by Sovereign Okinec Ahau. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient mana dorks and low-cost creatures that accumulate counters early, such as Experiment One, Conclave Mentor, and Managorger Hydra. Once Sovereign Okinec Ahau enters the battlefield and attacks, its ability doubles each creature's stat bonus over its base power. This turns modest boards into massive combat threats within one or two attack steps. Trample enablers like Duskshell Crawler and Training Regimen ensure combat damage bypasses blockers, while burst draw spells such as Shamanic Revelation and Armorcraft Judge replenish resources. While the deck generates overwhelming physical power, it relies heavily on combat and the combat step, leaving it vulnerable to mass sweepers, fog effects, and well-timed removal.
