Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai Snow Stax deck led by Jorn, God of Winter and Kaldring, the Rimestaff. The primary game plan accelerates into an early Jorn deployment, then establishes asymmetrical mana denial pieces such as Stasis, Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Back to Basics on turn 4. Because Jorn untaps all snow permanents whenever he attacks, your snow lands and artifacts untap every combat step while opponents remain locked out of their mana base. Card advantage engines like Frost Augur, Rhystic Study, and Mystic Remora maintain resource flow while free counterspells like Fierce Guardianship and Force of Will defend the lock. The deck finishes games by generating large combat threats, including a 20/20 indestructible Marit Lage token from Marit Lage's Slumber or Dark Depths, an enormous Abominable Treefolk, or unblockable commander damage with Brotherhood Regalia.
