Deck overview

This Selesnya deck turns low-cost reach creatures into unblockable, high-damage threats. Commanded by Tadeas, Juniper Ascendant, the deck floods the board with inexpensive reach creatures such as Deadly Recluse, Juvenile Gloomwidow, and Snarespinner. Tadeas grants these creatures pseudo-vigilance and prevents creatures with greater power from blocking them. Because these creatures naturally have low power and high toughness, cards like Assault Formation, Huatli, the Sun's Heart, and Baldin, Century Herdmaster let them assign combat damage equal to their toughness. This enables explosive attacks that bypass large opposing blockers. Each combat damage connection draws cards through Tadeas, keeping your hand full of instant-speed toughness pumps like Tower Defense and Bar the Door to close out games swiftly.
