Squirrel - Chatterfang by user3732036

Format: Commander

Commander: Chatterfang, Squirrel General

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Squirrel-tribal aristocrats deck helmed by Chatterfang, Squirrel General, built around one core loop: generate a massive Squirrel army (doubled by Chatterfang's replacement effect), then sacrifice it all to drain effects for lethal. The commander doubles every token created, turning each Squirrel Nest activation or Deep Forest Hermit trigger into twice the fuel. The deck layers token amplifiers (Parallel Lives, Peregrin Took, Academy Manufactor, Hazel of the Rootbloom) with drain payoffs (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Bastion of Remembrance, Nadier's Nightblade, Mirkwood Bats, The Meathook Massacre) and a dense sacrifice suite (Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, Ashnod's Altar). The primary win is incremental life-drain from mass sacrifice; a secondary path is combat with a buffed Squirrel swarm (Squirrel Sovereign, Deep Forest Hermit, The Odd Acorn Gang). The deck is a midrange value engine that wins through inevitability rather than a single fast combo.
