Sauron Lord of the Rings Precon by user8916646

Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Built around Sauron, the Dark Lord as a grind engine, this midrange deck converts the Ring-tempted discard-and-draw-four trigger into massive card advantage while amassing Orcs from its spells. It is not a combo deck; it wins through a growing Army, Wraith tokens, reanimated threats, and repeated attacks. Saruman, the White Hand functions as a hidden commander in the 99, doubling noncreature spells into Army size and giving Orcs/Goblins ward 2; Sauron, Lord of the Rings in the 99 is a late-game bomb that amasses, mills, and reanimates on cast. The game plan is value-plus-pressure: ramp, refuel off Sauron, concentrate amass counters, then close with extra combat or spell-synergy damage. No double-faced commander exists; Sauron is the sole general.
