Deck overview

This Izzet deck is a synergy-driven combo strategy commanded by Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator and Kediss, Emberclaw Familiar. The primary plan leverages Malcolm's Treasure-generating ability alongside damage-dealing pingers and creature type-changing effects to execute infinite burn loops. By turning pingers like Reckless Fireweaver, Ingenious Artillerist, or Weftstalker Ardent into Pirates, every artifact entering the battlefield triggers table-wide damage, which causes Malcolm to create three Treasures, sustaining an unbroken loop. Additionally, Glint-Horn Buccaneer provides a compact one-card combo with Malcolm, looting through the library and eliminating all opponents during combat. The deck supports its core engine with efficient 1-mana cantrips, targeted tutors like Muddle the Mixture and Step Through, and cheap defensive spells like Shore Up and Spell Pierce. While heavily reliant on Malcolm's presence to generate mana and close the game, exceptional functional redundancy among combo enablers ensures a consistent, lethal Turn 5 execution.
