Format: Commander

Commander: Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-red "hot-potato voltron" deck built entirely around Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, a 4/4 trampler who is handed to a new player every upkeep, gains a +1/+1 counter, and - because he can never attack his owner - spends every single combat smashing one of *your* opponents. The deck's job is to suit Alexios up with a deep 25-card equipment package; equipment stays attached across his control flips, so opponents literally swing your voltron at each other. Seven dedicated goad effects (Disrupt Decorum, Bothersome Quasit, The Sound of Drums, and friends) keep enemy boards tangled, while damage multipliers (Jeska, Thrice Reborn, double-strike effects, Unleash Fury) turn his natural growth into one-shot 21-commander-damage kills. Slicer, Hired Muscle acts as a second hand-off attacker, and Chandra's Ignition doubles as a reset-and-finisher. It is fast and swingy, and hugely dependent on Alexios: when the clock works, the table dies to itself; when he eats removal twice, the deck crawls.
