Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir midrange reanimator strategy led by Mirko, Obsessive Theorist. The plan uses the surveil mechanic to sculpt draws, fill the graveyard with powerful creatures, and steadily increase Mirko's power with +1/+1 counters. At each of your end steps, Mirko returns a creature with lower power than his own from the graveyard to the battlefield with a finality counter. To bypass the exile clause of finality counters, the deck runs specialized counter-removal cards like Power Conduit, Soul Diviner, and Fain, the Broker, allowing key creatures to return repeatedly.
