Format: Commander

Commander: The Howling Abomination

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

The Howling Abomination is a hasty RG spellslinger-pump deck that ramps into its commander, then chains cheap cantrips and pump spells targeting it. Each target-triggered ability grows the commander, shocks every opponent, and draws cards through Season of Growth and cantrips, making one big combat step lethal once a damage multiplier or Chandra's Ignition appears. Zada, Hedron Grinder acts as the hidden commander, converting single-target spells into a board-wide storm/treasure engine, with Mirrorwing Dragon, Leyline of Resonance, and Frontline Heroism as parallel copy effects. Secondary paths include Venerated Rotpriest poison, Guttersnipe chip damage, and a Storm-Kiln Artist + Zada buyback storm line ending in Grapeshot.
