Deck overview

This mono-white control deck harnesses Rune-Tail, Kitsune Ascendant to establish an impenetrable defensive perimeter and systematically close out the game. Because Commander games start at 40 life, Rune-Tail immediately flips upon entering into Rune-Tail's Essence, preventing all damage dealt to your creatures. By attaching Pariah or deploying creatures like Palisade Giant and Protector of the Crown, all incoming player damage is redirected to invulnerable creatures, achieving complete immunity to combat and direct damage. The deck pairs this fortress with potent alternate win conditions such as Felidar Sovereign, the token onslaught of Luminarch Ascension, and the 'can't lose' lock of The Book of Exalted Deeds on Faceless Haven. A dense suite of premium white protection spells, including Teferi's Protection, Clever Concealment, and Flare of Fortitude, shields your enchantments from removal, while recursion like Replenish and Sevinne's Reclamation guarantees rapid recovery against heavy interaction.
