Deck overview

This is a Splinter, Radical Rat Ninja deck built around evasive attackers, ninjutsu, and repeated combat triggers. The strongest engine pairs Splinter, Radical Rat with Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow: each successful Ninja hit doubles Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow's draw and table-wide life-loss trigger. Satoru Umezawa, Ingenious Infiltrator, Prosperous Thief, and Fallen Shinobi turn combat into cards, mana, and stolen spells. The deck normally assembles its main operating state around turn 5 and begins presenting a must-answer engine on that attack. It is powerful in a slower pod but not a compact combo deck. Its finish requires several combat steps, and its access package is not dense enough to assemble the ideal three-card state consistently. Defensive taxation from Ghostly Prison and Propaganda buys time, while Clever Concealment and Guardian of Faith protect boards. Creature removal, blockers, sweepers, and disruption before the first successful attack are the main obstacles.
