Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Ghoulcaller Gisa to helm a classic Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy. The game plan focuses on deploying resilient early Zombies, ramping on curve, and resolving Gisa on Turn 4 or 5. Once untap sickness passes, Gisa sacrifices high-power creatures to create massive waves of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck transforms these tokens into an overwhelming lethal force using tribal lords such as Undead Warchief and Death Baron, or converts creature deaths into direct life drain through Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Disruption features asymmetric creature suppression via Noxious Ghoul and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet. While the list features high creature redundancy and strong resilience against single-target removal via recursion, it lacks generic tutors, stack interaction, and dedicated protection spells, making it vulnerable to well-timed board wipes.
