Deck overview

Lathliss, Dragon Queen commands a mono-red Dragon stompy deck that overpowers opponents using massive flying creatures and direct burn triggers. The deck accelerates through early mana rocks and tribal cost reducers like Dragonspeaker Shaman and Herald's Horn to deploy Lathliss on Turn 5. Once Lathliss is on the battlefield, every subsequent Dragon creates a 5/5 flying Dragon token, rapidly doubling the board's offensive presence. Direct damage engines like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge convert creature entries into immediate removal and face damage, while Utvara Hellkite and Terror of Mount Velus act as explosive combat multipliers. The deck runs asymmetric sweepers like Breath Weapon and Magmaquake to clear ground blockers without harming its fliers, but remains vulnerable to instant-speed spot removal and mass sweepers due to limited stack interaction. Overall, the deck delivers an aggressive, highly synergistic tribal game plan that steadily crushes opponents through combat.
