Commander: Etali, Primal Conqueror // Etali, Primal Sickness

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Gruul fast-combo deck built to turbo out Etali, Primal Conqueror and weaponize his ETB trigger. The entire 99 is a dense web of rituals and fast mana - Chrome Mox, Lotus Petal, Desperate Ritual, Seething Song, Rite of Flame, Simian Spirit Guide, Mana Vault, Gaea's Cradle - designed to land Etali as early as turn two or three, then chain his "cast free spells" trigger into a win. The deck's real teeth, though, are the infinite combos living entirely in the 99: Food Chain + Squee, the Immortal for infinite mana, Underworld Breach + Lion's Eye Diamond + Wheel of Fortune for infinite mana and draw, and Dualcaster Mage + Twinflame/Heat Shimmer for infinite hasty creatures. Clone effects like Twinflame, Molten Duplication, and Rionya, Fire Dancer multiply Etali's triggers, and Hellkite Courser gives him haste for a surprise transform into Etali, Primal Sickness poison kills.
