Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Voltron and combat aggro strategy built around Wolverine, Best There Is. The deck leverages Wolverine's innate damage doubling, regeneration, and counter scaling to knock out opponents rapidly with commander damage. In the early game, cheap ramp and cost-reducers establish the mana base to deploy Wolverine on Turn 3. Mid-game sequencing introduces potent damage multipliers, extra combat steps, and equipment such as Fiery Emancipation, Unnatural Growth, Hulkbuster Armor, and Aggravated Assault, pushing single-hit damage output into lethal thresholds by Turn 5. Protection spells like Tyvar's Stand and Silkguard keep Wolverine safe from exile and bounce effects, while trample enablers guarantee that doubled damage punches through chump blockers. Backup combat finishers like Jumbo Cactuar and Raphael, the Muscle ensure the deck maintains lethal pressure even if Wolverine is temporarily contained.
