Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes Kaalia of the Vast as a high-velocity threat deployment engine, supported by a potent reanimator subtheme. The primary game plan seeks to ramp into Kaalia by Turn 3 or 4, leveraging haste enablers like Lightning Greaves or Hall of the Bandit Lord to attack immediately. Her trigger cheats devastating Angels, Demons, and Dragons directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking, bypassing onerous casting costs. High-priority cheat targets include Master of Cruelties for immediate single-player eliminations, Razaketh, the Foulblooded for repeatable tutoring, and Valgavoth, Terror Eater for asymmetric card theft. In parallel, a robust reanimation core featuring Entomb, Reanimate, and Animate Dead offers an independent early-game route that can deploy massive threats as early as Turn 2. The interaction package provides efficient creature removal and sweepers, while the deck closes out games through rapid combat damage or infinite mana loops with Worldgorger Dragon.
