Commander: Bladewing the Risen

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Rakdos Dragon Reanimator deck led by Bladewing the Risen, a flying commander that returns a Dragon permanent from the graveyard to the battlefield upon entering. The primary game plan is to fill the graveyard early using looting spells (Faithless Looting, Tormenting Voice, Wild Guess) and direct mill (Buried Alive, Corpse Connoisseur, Bitter Revelation), then reanimate powerful Dragons with a dense suite of reanimation spells (12+ including Zombify, Dread Return, Ever After, Exhume, Living Death). The Dragons provide value on entry (Scourge of Valkas deals damage, Knollspine Dragon draws cards, Kokusho, the Evening Star drains life), combat triggers (Utvara Hellkite makes tokens, Hellkite Charger gives extra combats), and death triggers (Ryuisei, the Falling Star wipes. The deck closes out through overwhelming board presence, drain loops with Kokusho, or artifact control via Hellkite Tyrant. With a high mana curve and no fast mana, it operates as a midrange/control-reanimator aiming to outvalue opponents with recursive threats.
