Deck overview

Sorin of House Markov leads an Orzhov lifegain and attrition deck designed to bleed opponents through steady incremental drain while maintaining a substantial life buffer. The strategy focuses on establishing early incidental lifegain sources like Soul Warden and Authority of the Consuls, triggering extort mechanics, and flipping Sorin to control the board with direct damage and food generation. As the game develops, redundant drain engines including Marauding Blight-Priest, Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Starscape Cleric turn every lifegain event into widespread damage across the table. In the late game, high-impact multipliers like Pontiff of Blight, Astarion, the Decadent, and massive drain spells such as Exsanguinate and Debt to the Deathless close out the match over two to three turn cycles. Supported by efficient white and black spot removal and reanimation spells, the deck grinds out opponents while remaining resilient against aggressive combat strategies.
