Commander: Tovolar, Dire Overlord // Tovolar, the Midnight Scourge

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Tovolar, Dire Overlord leads an aggressive Gruul Werewolf and Wolf pack, supported by a potent plus-one-plus-one counter subtheme. The primary plan deploys early canine threats, casts Tovolar to turn combat damage into card draw, and assembles three pack members to force nightfall on upkeep. Once transformed into Tovolar, the Midnight Scourge, your creatures gain increased stats, trample, and an activated mana-sink pump. The deck closes games through wide combat damage amplified by tribal anthems, counter engines like Leatherhead, Iron Gator and Avabruck Caretaker, damage doubling from Raphael, the Muscle, and overrun bursts from Return of the Wildspeaker to overwhelm all opponents.
