Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control build centered on Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign, using topdeck sculpting to cheat massive odd-mana-value spells into play for free. By leveraging manipulation tools like Sensei's Divining Top, Brainstorm, Soothsaying, and Aminatou, the Fateshifter, the deck consistently stacks game-warping payoffs such as Void Winnower, Toxrill, the Corrosive, and Breach the Multiverse onto the top of the library before declaring attacks. Evasive combat abilities, including flying, vigilance, and menace on the commander, ensure Yennett attacks safely while generating card and mana advantage. The deck backs up this engine with asymmetrical board control, tax effects like Fatespinner and Perplexing Chimera, versatile single-target removal, and alternative win conditions such as Approach of the Second Sun. Its main strengths lie in explosive resource cheating and oppressive board locks, balanced by an inherent reliance on Yennett surviving a full turn cycle to attack.
