Deck overview

This Dimir deck is built around Emet-Selch, Unsundered // Hades, Sorcerer of Eld, focusing on rapid self-mill, graveyard value, and decisive combo finishes. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost mana acceleration and continuous mill engines such as Mesmeric Orb, Hedron Crab, and Stitcher's Supplier alongside the commander's looting ability. Once the graveyard reaches fourteen cards, Emet-Selch transforms into Hades on upkeep, unlocking your entire graveyard as an accessible hand. From there, the deck converts graveyard density into explosive mana through Songs of the Damned and rituals, rapidly clearing the remaining library to achieve an instant win with Thassa's Oracle, Laboratory Maniac, or Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. In addition to combo lines, the list packs potent reanimation spells including Living Death, Breach the Multiverse, and Rise of the Dark Realms to overwhelm the table with massive threats. A sturdy suite of low-cost countermagic and creature removal keeps opposing strategies in check while you assemble your win.
