Deck overview

Szarel, Genesis Shepherd leads a Jund Lands and Aristocrats deck designed to extract compound value from sacrificing and recurring lands. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using land-fetch spells and self-sacrificing fetchlands to stock the graveyard. Once assembled on Turn 5, Szarel enables constant land replay directly from the graveyard, distributing +1/+1 counters to build massive threats while triggering sacrifice and landfall payoffs. Standalone powerhouses like The Gitrog Monster, Korvold, Fae-Cursed King, Titania, Protector of Argoth, and Scute Swarm generate explosive card advantage and wide token boards. The primary victory condition coalesces on Turn 6 via mass land-return spells or Scapeshift, culminating in an overwhelming lethal swing on Turn 7 across all three opponents. Supported by versatile removal and Sylvan Safekeeper protection, the deck boasts exceptional resilience, readily rebuilding its engine from retained mana and independent 99 payoffs even when faced with disruption.
