Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet forced-combat and Dragon tribal strategy commanded by Firkraag, Cunning Instigator. The game plan revolves around accelerating into Firkraag on Turn 4, using its innate haste and flying to immediately attack and goad opposing threats. As goaded creatures attack other opponents, Firkraag steadily draws cards and grows with +1/+1 counters. On subsequent turns, the deck deploys mass goad spells such as Disrupt Decorum and heavy Dragon payoffs like Lathliss, Dragon Queen and Warmonger Hellkite to force opponents to whittle down each other's life totals. Defensive pieces like Propaganda and Dissipation Field deter retaliation, while sweepers like Blasphemous Act reset out-of-control boards. Once opposing life totals are depleted and the board thins out, Firkraag and its supporting Dragon armada close out the match with decisive aerial strikes.
