Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa leads a Mardu monarch/control deck that plans to seize the crown early and make the table pay to take it back. After early ramp, the deck establishes the monarchy with the commander or redundant enablers like Thorn of the Black Rose, Court of Grace, and Queen Mother Ramonda, turning the monarch draw into its primary card advantage. Pillowfort pieces such as Ghostly Prison, Windborn Muse, Baird, Steward of Argive, and Crawlspace protect the crown, while Kardur, Doomscourge and Disrupt Decorum force opponents to attack each other. The win comes from incremental drain, goaded combat, and a token army generated by Luminarch Ascension, Court of Grace, and Inkshield, all amplified by Gisela, Blade of Goldnight. Ruinous Ultimatum clears the way for a final swing. There are no infinite combos; this is a value, defense, and attrition build with a 3.23 average mana value.
