Commander: King of the Oathbreakers

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is an Orzhov Spirit tribal token-swarm deck helmed by King of the Oathbreakers. The core plan is to generate an army of flying Spirit tokens, then pump them through anthems like Intangible Virtue and Vanquisher's Banner to overwhelm opponents in combat. The commander provides passive protection-whenever a Spirit you control becomes the target of a spell, it phases out, blanking removal-and generates extra tokens each time a Spirit phases back in. Secondary win conditions include the drain spell Devouring Greed (sacrificing Spirits for a life-swing) and the drain triggers from Mirkwood Bats and Elas il-Kor, Sadistic Pilgrim. The deck leans heavily on token generators such as Lingering Souls, Spectral Procession, and Anduril, Flame of the West, supported by a robust protection suite of phasing, indestructible, and fog effects.
