Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul aggro and Voltron midrange strategy commanded by Wolverine, Fierce Fighter. Wolverine provides immediate board impact thanks to native haste, an enters-the-battlefield fight ability, and a unique damage-replacement effect that wipes away previously marked damage whenever he takes new damage. The deck accelerates in the opening turns using green mana dorks, basic land tutors, and mana rocks. On Turn 4, Wolverine hits the battlefield to remove an opposing utility creature and begin dealing commander damage. The midgame transitions into explosive combat steps using power-doubling enchantments like Unnatural Growth, massive pump spells like Super Strength and Preposterous Proportions, and extra combats via Savage Beating. Functional redundancy in fight spells and stat boosts ensures that secondary threats like Ashroot Animist and She-Hulk, Jade Defender can maintain pressure if Wolverine is removed. While vulnerable to exile removal and countermagic, the deck delivers consistent, aggressive combat pressure.
