Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Grixis aristocrats and recursion engine led by Marchesa, the Black Rose. It leverages +1/+1 counters and sacrifice outlets to turn temporary creature deaths into recurring value. Through dethrone attacks, modular counters, and entry buffs like Gev, Scaled Scorch or Unspeakable Symbol, creatures gain counters before being sacrificed to outlets such as Carrion Feeder, Goblin Bombardment, or Yawgmoth, Thran Physician. Marchesa returns these creatures to the battlefield at the beginning of each end step, allowing the deck to trigger powerful enters-the-battlefield and death abilities on every single player's turn. Cards like Plaguecrafter and Accursed Marauder keep opposing boards clear, while Marionette Apprentice, Gray Merchant of Asphodel, and Flayer of the Hatebound convert recurring cycles into lethal table-wide damage. Supported by efficient counterspells and mass reanimation, the deck excels at grinding down opponents through compounding attrition and inevitable life drain.
