Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Gruul artifact-token and burn strategy led by Aerid Konstrari. The core engine exploits the legend rule alongside temporary creature duplication spells like Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, and Orthion, Hero of Lavabrink. Because Aerid creates an untapped Heartwood token upon entering the battlefield and upon dying, every temporary clone produces two mana-producing artifact tokens (one on entry, one when legend-ruled). This explosive token generation immediately converts into lethal direct damage through artifact and creature entry triggers such as Ingenious Artillerist, Reckless Fireweaver, and Impact Tremors. The massive mana pool produced by Heartwood tokens fuels game-ending mana sinks like Crackle with Power or massive power buffs for Chandra's Ignition. A dense suite of single-target redirection spells provides robust protection against opposing countermagic and removal, while the Dualcaster Mage plus Twinflame combo offers a compact backup victory condition.
