Deck overview

Helmed by Vivi Ornitier, this Izzet spellslinger deck aims to chain noncreature spells to grow Vivi into a mana engine and an incremental damage source. The primary win condition is the classic two-card combo of Niv-Mizzet, Parun with Curiosity, drawing the deck and pinging opponents to death, with Laboratory Maniac as a backup. The deck functions as a high-interaction control shell, using a dense counterspell suite to protect its combo or grind out value through engines like Rhystic Study, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Tellah, Great Sage. Alternate paths include a transformed The Emperor of Palamecia // The Lord Master of Hell for big combat steps, Epic Experiment for explosive burst turns, and incremental damage from Thermo-Alchemist and Lasting Tarfire.
