Deck overview

Ghyrson Starn, Kelermorph commands an aggressive Izzet spellslinger and burn strategy designed to weaponize minor 1-damage sources into lethal 3-damage strikes. By pairing Ghyrson with static pingers like Firebrand Archer and Kessig Flamebreather, every cheap instant or sorcery deals 3 to 6 damage to each opponent while 1-mana sweepers such as End the Festivities and Blazing Volley act as one-sided board wipes. The deck rapidly fuels these storm sequences through mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling and Vivi Ornitier, alongside explosive card draw from Curiosity and Ophidian Eye attached directly to Ghyrson. High-tier free interaction including Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Force of Will protects the commander from removal. As an independent backup plan, Niv-Mizzet, Parun pairs with Curiosity effects to draw the entire library and close the game on the spot.
