Deck overview

This five-color competitive Commander deck uses Codie, Ravenous Codex to execute a fast, resilient creature combo centered on Displacer Kitten and the prepare mechanic. By casting the prepare side of cards like Goblin Glasswright // Craft with Pride, Displacer Kitten repeatedly flickers the host creature to return it prepared, while Codie, Ravenous Codex copies the spell. This interaction yields infinite mana and infinite magecraft triggers. The deck quickly translates this surplus into a full-library draw through Pompous Battlemage // Improvised Act and finishes the game with direct damage from Hallway Heckler // Vicious Verse. Supported by a dense suite of 0-1 CMC fast mana, unconditional creature tutors, free countermagic, and proactive silence spells like Ranger-Captain of Eos and Silence, the list consistently threatens protected same-turn wins on Turn 3.
