Deck overview

This deck is a classic Mardu combat-cheat aggro deck commanded by Kaalia of the Vast. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early artifact acceleration on turns 1 and 2 to cast Kaalia ahead of curve on turn 3 or 4. Once Kaalia attacks, she bypasses the steep mana costs of over twenty high-impact Angels, Demons, and Dragons by putting them directly onto the battlefield tapped and attacking. The deck can eliminate single players rapidly with Master of Cruelties or build an insurmountable board state using game-warping permanents like Avacyn, Angel of Hope, Gisela, Blade of Goldnight, and Aurelia, the Warleader. Supporting equipment such as Swiftfoot Boots, Brotherhood Regalia, and Mithril Coat protects Kaalia during vulnerable attack windows. While the deck possesses immense combat firepower and resilient mid-game attrition, its heavy reliance on Kaalia makes it susceptible to early spot removal and sweepers.
