Deck overview

This deck is a Simic +1/+1 counters and X-spell stompy deck commanded by Jackal, Genius Geneticist. The strategy leverages the rules interaction where an X-spell's mana value on the stack includes the chosen value of X. By calibrating X to match Jackal's current power, every creature cast triggers Jackal's ability to duplicate the spell as a nonlegendary token copy while growing Jackal with a +1/+1 counter. The deck features over twenty X-cost creatures, allowing seamless chaining from low mana values up to colossal hydras. Value multipliers such as Unbound Flourishing, Hardened Scales, and Tribute to the World Tree accelerate power generation and draw flow. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through overwhelming trample damage, an asymmetric bounce from Wave Goodbye, or alternate victory via Simic Ascendancy. Robust protection cards like Heroic Intervention and Ripples of Potential shield the board against sweepers.
