Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger midrange deck commanded by Rootha, Mastering the Moment. The strategy pairs high-mana-value instant and sorcery spells with token generation engines. Rootha triggers at the beginning of combat on your turn to create an X/X flying Elemental token with haste, where X equals the highest mana value among instants and sorceries cast that turn. Delve spells like Dig Through Time and Treasure Cruise, along with modal powerhouses like Magma Opus, produce massive flying threats ahead of curve. The deck amplifies this aggression using token multipliers such as Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer, Rionya, Fire Dancer, and Redoubled Stormsinger. Mana production is sustained through cost reducers and Treasure generators like Storm-Kiln Artist and Goldspan Dragon. The deck finishes games by overwhelming the table with evasive aerial damage or resolving a decisive Surge to Victory.
