Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir artifact midrange and reanimator strategy piloted by Golbez, Crystal Collector. The game plan revolves around rapidly establishing a dense board of artifacts using artifact lands, low-cost mana rocks, and token generators. As artifacts enter the battlefield, Golbez surveils cards into the graveyard, binning high-power artifact creatures such as Krang, Utrom Warlord, Triplicate Titan, and Phyrexian Triniform. Once the deck crosses four artifacts on Turn 4, Golbez continuously recurs threats to hand, and crossing eight artifacts on Turn 5 turns him into a direct-damage engine that burns each opponent for 9 life on every end step. Parallel cheat engines like Master Transmuter, Reanimate, and Bolas's Citadel put these behemoths onto the battlefield to deliver crushing combat damage. An infinite mana combo with Basalt Monolith and Forensic Gadgeteer provides a clean instant-speed alternate win condition with Walking Ballista.
