Deck overview

This deck leverages Syr Konrad, the Grim as both an attrition engine and a lethal combo payoff. It blends classic mono-black aristocrats sacrifice outlets with high-density self-mill and mass graveyard transitions. Mana acceleration from Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Sol Ring sets up a Turn 5 commander deployment. On Turn 6, the deck seeks to resolve decisive finishers such as Morality Shift, which dumps dozens of creatures into the graveyard at once, or Mindcrank, which creates a rapid mill-and-damage chain across all three opponents. Secondary win paths run through Bolas's Citadel, Peer into the Abyss, and repeated Gray Merchant of Asphodel drains. The deck maintains steady card flow with engines like Braids, Arisen Nightmare, Ayara, First of Locthwain, and Skullclamp. While vulnerable to instant-speed creature removal on Konrad and graveyard exile effects, the list boasts rapid recovery through efficient reanimation and explosive black mana generation.
