Deck overview

Thantis, the Warweaver commands a Jund forced-combat and attrition deck designed to dictate the pace of the table. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with efficient green ramp spells and early utility creatures. Once its mana base is established, the strategy deploys defensive deterrents such as Crawlspace, No Mercy, and deathtouch blockers alongside goad effects to protect its life total. Casting Thantis or symmetrical attack drivers forces all opposing creatures into mandatory combat engagements, stripping away blockers and whittling opposing life totals. Card advantage engines like Karazikar, the Eye Tyrant and Deathreap Ritual keep resources flowing as creatures trade off across each turn cycle.
