Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Blue flying tribal aggro-control deck commanded by Donal, Herald of Wings. The primary strategy focuses on deploying efficient flying creatures, accelerating mana through cost reducers, and utilizing Donal's trigger to copy nonlegendary winged creatures once each turn for double ETB and board presence. The deck converts evasive combat damage into immense card advantage through engines like Coastal Piracy and Reconnaissance Mission, fueling a dense package of countermagic and bounce spells to protect its lead. Decisive board finishers like Gravitational Shift, Archetype of Imagination, and Shadow Puppeteers turn modest flyers into lethal threats. While the deck boasts immense card flow and strong aerial evasion, its reliance on multiple combat steps leaves it open to board sweepers across full table rotations.
