Grismold, The Dreadsower (UPGRADED) by user1809173

Format: Commander

Commander: Grismold, the Dreadsower

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grismold, the Dreadsower leads a Golgari aristocrats and Voltron hybrid strategy centered on weaponizing symmetric token generation. Grismold gives every player a 1/1 Plant token on each of your end steps, and grows whenever any token dies. By establishing passive token-hate effects such as Illness in the Ranks and Virulent Plague, opponent tokens die immediately upon entry, pumping Grismold by four or more counters every turn cycle while keeping opposing boards empty. The primary win condition is lethal commander damage delivered via Grismold's built-in trample, reinforced by evasion tools like Rogue's Passage. Secondary paths close games through aristocrat drain effects like Mirkwood Bats, Massacre Wurm, and Zulaport Cutthroat.
