Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Dragon tribal powerhouse helmed by The Ur-Dragon. By utilizing eminence to reduce the mana cost of every Dragon in the deck, it offsets the steep mana requirements typical of the tribe. The mana base is engineered for maximum speed and consistency, utilizing original dual lands, shock lands, and explosive acceleration like Mana Vault, Sol Ring, and Chrome Mox. The primary game plan accelerates into a critical mass of Dragons by Turn 4, leveraging value engines like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm and burst mana from Hellkite Courser or Goldspan Dragon. On Turn 5, it presents lethal damage via damage multipliers like Atarka, World Render, token swarms from Utvara Hellkite, or direct damage from Terror of the Peaks. While vulnerable to repeated sweepers and fast combo strategies, its sheer card quality, explosive velocity, and mass recursion via Patriarch's Bidding ensure relentless pressure.
