Deck overview

This Rakdos sacrifice combo deck uses Gev, Scaled Scorch to cancel the negative counters from the persist mechanic. When an opponent loses life, Gev causes entering creatures to gain a +1/+1 counter. This counter cancels out the -1/-1 counter from persist creatures like Putrid Goblin, Lesser Masticore, and Murderous Redcap as state-based actions resolve. Sacrificing these creatures to outlets such as Viscera Seer, Carrion Feeder, or Goblin Bombardment produces infinite enter-the-battlefield and death triggers. The deck quickly executes these loops using efficient tutors, fast ritual mana, and redundancy from First Day of Class or Metallic Mimic.
