Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Bant +1/+1 counters midrange strategy commanded by Tidus, Yuna's Guardian. It leverages low-curve counter generators, counter amplifiers, and mana dorks to build an escalating board state. Once Tidus enters the battlefield on Turn 3, his combat trigger redistributes counters to optimize attacks, while his Cheer ability provides reliable card advantage and repeatable proliferation whenever modified creatures deal combat damage. The deck transitions into a lethal threat by Turn 5 through compounding scaling engines such as Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, Ouroboroid, and Loading Zone, pushing damage past blockers using evasion pieces like Herald of Secret Streams, Kodama of the West Tree, and Champion of Lambholt. Supporting protection spells like Teferi's Protection, Ripples of Potential, and Mutational Advantage safeguard invested counters against mass removal, while efficient interaction disrupts critical opposing plays. The deck steadily overwhelms the table through relentless combat pressure, concluding games around Turn 7.
