Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Kaust, Eyes of the Glade and focuses on face-down mechanics—specifically morph, disguise, cloak, and manifest dread—intertwined with an aggressive infect subtheme. Early turns establish mana through two-mana ramp and deploy Kaust alongside engine enablers like Scroll of Fate, Hauntwoods Shrieker, and Trail of Mystery. Once Kaust is active, it cheats the steep un-morph costs of cards like Blightsteel Colossus, Root Elemental, and Experiment Twelve by turning them face up attacking for free, drawing cards off Kaust's triggered ability. The midgame compounds value through heavy draw engines such as Toski, Bearer of Secrets and Guardian Project before closing out opponents using wide combat overruns like Craterhoof Behemoth, Triumph of the Hordes, or massive trample-infect pressure. While fragile against sweepers and lacking stack disruption, the deck generates high burst combat potential.
