Deck overview

This deck is a mono-red resource denial and group slug strategy led by Zo-Zu the Punisher. It uses dense fast mana rocks and rituals to deploy Zo-Zu or Ankh of Mishra on early turns, punishing every land played with direct damage. It then casts asymmetric mass land destruction spells like Ruination, Wildfire, and Epicenter, or hard mana constraints like Blood Moon and Price of Glory. Opponents struggle to develop mana while taking repeated damage each time they attempt to rebuild. The deck breaks parity on its own land destruction by relying heavily on mana artifacts, basic Mountains, and Crucible of Worlds. Damage amplifiers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus accelerate the clock, while Sulfuric Vortex stops life gain.
