Deck overview

This Gruul lands-matter deck helmed by Wrenn and Six focuses on resource acceleration, relentless graveyard recursion, and big-mana board development. The primary objective is assembling the classic Dark Depths and Thespian's Stage combination to summon Marit Lage—a 20/20 flying, indestructible Avatar token. Wrenn and Six ensures consistent land drops and recurs vital utility lands like Boseiju, Who Endures and Demolition Field for repeatable, uncounterable disruption. Land tutors including Sylvan Scrying, Archdruid's Charm, and Urza's Cave reliably find combo pieces and utility lands. Once Marit Lage or secondary engines like Verdant Kraken and Ancient Greenwarden are deployed, the deck leverages damage multipliers like Fiery Emancipation and Twinflame Tyrant or direct burn from Worldsoul's Rage to overwhelm the table. While vulnerable to instant-speed exile removal and graveyard hate, the deck possesses strong engine recovery and redundant beatdown avenues.
