Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

An aggressive Rakdos Dragon deck built around Smaug the Impenetrable as both a hasty, indestructible beater and a Treasure engine. The primary plan is to put Smaug into play, damage it noncombatally with Pyrohemia or Pain for All, convert those Treasures into dragons and extra combats, then close with a large strike force amplified by Fiery Emancipation, Twinflame Tyrant, or Isengard Unleashed. Secondary lines use Aggravated Assault with Ancient Copper Dragon or The Reaver Cleaver to chain combats, and Hellkite Tyrant offers an artifact-count alternate win. Xorn and Academy Manufactor make token production explosive. No hidden commander; the deck is built around Smaug the Impenetrable while remaining functional through its Dragon subtheme.
