Gorma, The PERSITing menace by Ant_b

Deck overview

This Golgari Aristocrats deck leverages Gorma, the Gullet to turn persist creatures into infinite sacrifice loops. Gorma grants an additional +1/+1 counter to nontoken creatures entering the battlefield for each creature that died under your control this turn. When a creature with persist like Putrid Goblin or Rendclaw Trow dies and returns with a -1/-1 counter, Gorma places a +1/+1 counter on it. These counters cancel out through state-based actions, resetting the creature completely. Pairing this engine with free sacrifice outlets like Altar of Dementia, Viscera Seer, or Ashnod's Altar produces infinite death triggers, mana, or mill. Payoffs including Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Marionette Apprentice convert these loops into instant lethal drain across all three opponents. Supported by efficient green mana ramp, low-cost black tutors, and board wipes like Culling Ritual, the deck reliably threatens a game-ending state by Turn 4.
