Deck overview

Myrel, Shield of Argive commands an aggressive mono-white Soldier tribal deck designed to overwhelm opponents through exponential token production while locking down their ability to interact on your turn. The deck opens by establishing early board presence with low-curve Soldiers, hatebears, and utility pieces like Esper Sentinel and Drannith Magistrate. Once Myrel resolves on Turn 4, her static ability acts as an unyielding silence effect, preventing opponents from casting spells or activating nonland permanents during your turn. Her attack trigger doubles your Soldier count with every swing, rapidly snowballing into an unmanageable army. Overrun effects and scaling anthems such as Cathars' Crusade, Goldnight Commander, and Moonshaker Cavalry translate this sheer token volume into lethal combat damage by Turns 6–7. A robust suite of instant-speed protection spells, including Flawless Maneuver and Teferi's Protection, shields your expanding army from sweepers during opposing turns, ensuring lethal momentum remains uninterrupted.
